Canadian Child Welfare Professionals Conference

A conference to be held by and for child welfare professionals from across Canada:

This four-day international conference is the biggest event in Canada for child welfare experts and professionals working with children. The 2010 OACAS Conference will celebrate excellence in child welfare and feature renown speakers, plenary sessions, workshops in the following areas:

* Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Exploitation of Children and Youth
* Chronic Child Neglect: Community Responses, Innovative Practices and Family Support
* Foster Care: Creative Approaches to Permanency Planning, Supporting Youth into Emerging Adulthood
* Balancing Strength and Risk in Practice

Keynote speakers: There are 11 speakers presenting sessions in the areas listed above.

Workshops: There are over 50 workshops to choose from. Each day will feature a series of workshops in the areas above. Click here to view.

Where: Doubletree by Hilton, 655 Dixon Rd., Toronto

Who should attend: member agencies management, supervisors, staff, foster parents and resource families, board members and professionals in national and international child welfare and child-serving organizations.
