0ACAS BUDGETS $150,000 IN CHILD PROTECTION FUNDS FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGNS

In the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies 2008/09 Annual Report, in the footnote of their Income Statement is mentions that the Executive Directors of the various Children's Aid Societies, (the same ones who are crying for more money and claiming kids are at risk because of Ministerial budget cuts) have approved of over $140,000 dollars in child protection funds to be used for "Public Education" which we assume includes their media ad campaigns and television commercials. See the line as captured from their annual report.

It reads as follows:

"The Board of Directors approved a deficit budget of $150,000 to be drawn from accumulated resources for a public education campaign. This amount is included in the 2009 expenses"
